I think it’s safe to say that 2020 was not quite the travel year that we thought it would be.

I think it’s safe to say that 2020 was not quite the travel year that we thought it would be.
Most of our travel in 2020 ended up becoming road trips between Milwaukee, WI and Philadelphia, PA to stay at work from Shannon’s house. To avoid flying during the pandemic, we drove the 14 hours between Milwaukee and Philadelphia.
Our only non-Philadelphia road trip in 2020 was to St. Louis, Missouri. We were able to book a hotel just next to The Arch and find a few ways to safely explore the city during the pandemic.
While the actual purpose of this trip was to visit the doctor in Philadelphia, we were able to enjoy a nice long weekend exploring some of the neighborhoods surrounding Philadelphia prior to the appointment.
Sam and I were lucky to take one major trip at the very beginning of 2020, prior to the pandemic. We spent the first week and a half of February in New Orleans, Louisiana, exploring the French Quarter on a little “work-cation.”
We spent the week following Christmas in Philadelphia to celebrate the holidays in the city. Quite a bit of time was spent at the house playing games and poker, but we had a few adventures into the city and surrounding areas as well.
