We took a quick trip to Disney World with Shannon! We flew in on Friday night and left early Monday morning.
Animal Kingdom & Sanaa
Our first full day was spent wandering around Animal Kingdom. It was a chilly morning, much colder than we expected, which led to Sam needing to buy pants from a gift shop so he didn’t freeze too much at the park. Whoops!
We left the park for lunch at Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Shannon had been here before, but it was Sam and I’s first time to this restaurant. This is mainly an Indian restaurant, with some African influences as well. They’re known for their bread service, where you’re given naan and a tray of nine different dips. They even had a gluten free variation. It was delicious!
EPCOT
Our second day we met up with a few friends of Shannon’s from her time working for Disney Cruise line and explored EPCOT. We were there during the Festival of the Arts, so there were a bunch of different food stalls and artists selling Disney art as well. This day we took our first ride on the new Guardian’s of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride, which we all really enjoyed.
This was a whirlwind weekend, but we had a great time!
